Community Guidelines

GoFindStuffis a community of households turning unused stuff into cash. Be honest, be respectful, follow the law, and don't waste other people's time. These guidelines spell out what that looks like in practice, and what happens when someone doesn't hold up their end.

• List items you actually own and have the right to sell.
• Use real photos. Don't use stock images or someone else's photos.
• Describe condition accurately. If a stroller has a stain, say so.
• Don't inflate prices to bait, switch, or game search rankings.
• Don't re-list the same item under multiple accounts to manipulate visibility.

• No harassment, threats, hate speech, or discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other protected category.
• No doxxing or sharing someone else's private information without consent.
• No solicitation of romantic, sexual, or otherwise unrelated content through the marketplace or chat.
• Show up on time for arranged meetups. Cancel early when you have to.

Items prohibited under our Acceptable Use Policy are not allowed anywhere on the Service. That includes weapons, controlled substances, stolen goods, counterfeits, recalled products, hazardous materials, and any item whose sale is restricted by federal, state, or local law. The Acceptable Use Policy is the authoritative list — read it before listing anything that might be borderline.

• No spam, scams, phishing, or attempts to move users off the platform to evade safety features.
• No automation, scraping, or unauthorised access to other users' accounts.
• No attempts to reverse-engineer the AI pipeline, manipulate pricing models, or interfere with the Service.
• No impersonation of GoFindStuff staff, other users, or any third party.

If you see a listing, message, or account that violates these guidelines, use the in-app “Report” action or email hello@gofindstuff.com with as much detail as you can.

For urgent safety concerns, contact local law enforcement first, then let us know so we can take down the related content.

Depending on the severity and history of the violation, we may:

• Remove the listing, message, or content in question.
• Warn the account.
• Temporarily suspend the account.
• Permanently terminate the account and prevent the user from creating new ones.
• Refer the matter to law enforcement when required by law or to protect users.

We tell you why we took action, except when prohibited by law. Termination details are in our Terms of Service.
